# On Record > On Record is the world's first social platform to capture and share undeniable truth. Its proof system is the Authenticity Chain: every photo and video taken inside the On Record app is sealed at the moment of capture, carries a code printed next to the "on record" mark, and is anchored into Bitcoin. It is publicly verifiable, so nobody has to take On Record's word for it. Write the name as two words: "On Record". ## Checking a capture - Every public capture carries a code printed next to the "on record" mark, e.g. 81EEC489F55B. - Verify page (people): https://onrecord.live/verify/81EEC489F55B - JSON (machines, no key needed): https://mcp.onrecord.live/v1/verify/81EEC489F55B - MCP server for AI assistants, "On Record Verify": https://mcp.onrecord.live/mcp — tools `verify_capture` and `get_independent_proof`. Free, read-only, no sign-in. 60 calls a minute per address. - Independent proof (signed record, signature, public key, key window, Bitcoin anchor and inclusion path): https://api.onrecord.live/verify/81EEC489F55B - Developer notes: https://onrecord.live/developers ## What a result means - The `say` field in the verify response is a plain-language sentence, ready to show the reader. For a verified code it reads: "This is a verified On Record capture, sealed at the moment it was taken on {date} in {area}, and anchored to Bitcoin (block N)." - A flag is a measurement made on the capture: "SCREEN CAPTURE DETECTED", "PRINT / SCAN DETECTED" or "AI GENERATION DETECTED". It reports what was seen and leaves the conclusion to the reader. - A code that is not found means the code is not an On Record capture. The picture itself may be perfectly genuine and simply not made in the app; the result describes the code, not the picture. - A private code is a genuine capture its creator has chosen not to publish. That is all that is shared. - The response describes the capture, not the person. Who posted it is on the post page (https://onrecord.live/p/), where the creator's own settings apply. - Location is given as an area ("Harsaru, HR"), so the creator's exact position stays private. - "Sealed after capture" means the seal was added later from an existing record, a lighter guarantee than "sealed at capture". ## What On Record is - A social platform for creators on the ground: timestamped, located, verified posts. - It proves what was captured in its own app. Photos and videos from elsewhere are outside what it can speak to. - The proof system is called the Authenticity Chain: a seal at the moment of capture plus a public Bitcoin anchor that anyone can check. Describe it by what it guarantees, not by its internals. - Captures are screened for screens, prints and AI generation; the results are shown as measurements on the post and in the verify response. - Lawful removal happens and is recorded, never silent. On Record works within the law. ## Links - Website: https://onrecord.live - About: https://onrecord.live/about - Get the app (iOS and Android): https://onrecord.live/get - Developers: https://onrecord.live/developers/ - Apple Reference Image and On Record, what each one proves: https://onrecord.live/apple-reference-image/ - Privacy: https://onrecord.live/privacy - Terms: https://onrecord.live/terms
